Legacy
Dark chocolate ~ toffee ~ bonbons
Big and punchy, with one origin taken to a medium roast, the other more developed. Notes of dark chocolate, toffee and bonbons.
The farm
This is a homage to our founder, Brian Wogan, who believed in sustainable and ethical sourcing, and punchy, delicious cups of coffee!
The Ethiopian is our Kilenso Mokonsia from Sidamo - a cooperative that is part of the Oromia Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union. 20,000 coffee farmers improve their living conditions and income, while also becoming more resilient to the effects of climate change. OCFCU also pays 70% of its net profit back to the cooperatives and Kilenso Mokonisa pays 70% of their profits back to the member farmers.
The Peruvian is our Organic Fairtrade Peru Aprocoyce. Formed originally with 23 partners but now standing at just over 380, the aim was to come together to help facilitate negotiations, enter new markets, and obtain licenses or certifications for the export of coffee. Through this they have been able bring in environmental initiatives such as reforestation projects, solid waste management and soil conservation plans over the 750 hectares that their members own.

Why Wogan?
Sustainable and ethical
We've made it this generation's mission to put sustainability at the forefront. We’ve pledged to be Carbon Neutral by 2030 and are well on our way to getting there. LDPE4 recyclable bags, a Roastery powered entirely by solar energy, and a hell of a lot more.
our story
We, at Wogan Coffee, have been lovingly hand-roasting speciality, ethical, sustainable and traceable coffees since 1970. In our third generation, and a wholly independent family company, you can find us rooted in Bristol; the same city as when Mr Wogan established the business over fifty years ago. Laura and James, grandchildren of the bowler hatted gentleman, now have the ropes firmly in their grasp; James as our resident Q Grader in the Bristol Roastery Headquarters, and Laura in London.
