Colombia Excelso EP Organic Fairtrade
Milk chocolate ~ golden syrup ~ praline
We have some temporary sad news. We are unable to get the Organic Fairtrade Honduras imported until early March, however we have this wonderful substitute which is incredibly similar in flavour profile - Organic Fairtrade Colombian.
A clean and smooth coffee, with bright acidity and mellow body. A very sweet espresso. Notes of butter, praline and golden syrup.
Available until March
The farm
Since the early 19th century, Colombia has been producing and exporting coffee famous for full body, bright acidity and rich aftertaste.
Colombia benefits from a wide range of climates and conditions that produce their own unique flavours in coffee. This also means that harvest times can vary. Between its different regions, Colombia produces fresh crop almost all year.
The growing focus on the speciality industry is changing the way traders and farmers work. It has become more common for farmers to isolate highest quality beans in lots to market separately. These lots are often sold under specific brands or stories.
The varietals
Over the years, the term Excelso has held a few different meanings. What has not changed, however, is that only the best Colombian coffees are permitted to be exported.
Excelso is supplied in steady volume throughout the year. In the cup, it displays a reliably distinctive combination of body and acidity.
EP stands for European Preparation. EP beans are Screen 15+ with a low defect tolerance.

Why Wogan?
Sustainable and ethical
We've made it this generation's mission to put sustainability at the forefront. We’ve pledged to be Carbon Neutral by 2030 and are well on our way to getting there. LDPE4 recyclable bags, a Roastery powered entirely by solar energy, and a hell of a lot more.
our story
We, at Wogan Coffee, have been lovingly hand-roasting speciality, ethical, sustainable and traceable coffees since 1970. In our third generation, and a wholly independent family company, you can find us rooted in Bristol; the same city as when Mr Wogan established the business over fifty years ago. Laura and James, grandchildren of the bowler hatted gentleman, now have the ropes firmly in their grasp; James as our resident Q Grader in the Bristol Roastery Headquarters, and Laura in London.
