Wogan Coffee have been roasting coffee in the heart of Bristol since 1970. We are now in our third generation and moving forward with new ideas and lots of plans. We are about to open a new training campus and a brew bar in our newly renovated warehouse at the bottom of the M32. We want to make this a must-see destination for any visitors to and living in Bristol as it is the first of its kind. We will be holding SCA courses for Barista training, brewing, roasting and cupping for members of the public and business owners and their staff, with the chance to buy the coffee we have roasted and to try over 20 of our exceptional coffees, using each of the brew methods.

We’re on the hunt for an experienced and incredibly passionate barista, with phenomenal milk (and m*lk) skills, a thorough knowledge of every brewing method, and the ability to easily dial in a grinder and adjust recipes on the fly. Knowledge of the different generic flavours of each origin and area is a bonus. We’re looking for heaps of enthusiasm, someone happy to work in a team, with an immense eye for details, a love of people and a real commitment to making the best coffee possible.

The hours of work are a little different to usual – they’re Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30 (so, closed on the weekends). It’s a full-time position, with a very competitive rate of pay, pension and 20 days holiday, plus bank holidays per annum and obviously a coffee allowance!

Please send your CV by EMAIL ONLY to claire@wogancoffee.co.uk, with a letter letting us know why you’d be perfect for the role and a list of references and relevant qualifications.

Just to reiterate, we’re looking for someone with the following skills:

  • A love of coffee, and passion for creating the perfect drinks
  • Exceptional milk skills
  • Extensive knowledge of all brewing methods and their benefits
  • Dialling in and setting recipes
  • Great personal presentation
  • Brilliant teamwork
  • Great numeracy skills
  • Very clean and tidy
  • Willing and able to take on new tasks in the business!
