Coffee Production Team Member/Roastery Assistant and occasional delivery driver.
Based in the very heart of Bristol at the bottom of the M32 since 1970, Wogan Coffee are now in their third generation. We import and roast raw speciality, Organic and Fairtrade coffees from around the world and roast them on our two restored Probat roasters. We are passionate about our end product and have recently moved our production to a large newly refurbished just across from our existing and are in the middle of massive renovations for an SCA training campus and coffee experience.
This is a full-time position. Hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm and may include deliveries.
·Prepare the production line efficiently and accurately: measuring, weighing and organising whole coffee beans.
·Label and organise coffee bags with diligence and care ensuring each coffee is packed to perfection
·Assemble, pack and label boxes for shipping so that you can seamlessly transition from production to packing
·Always leave your station and the warehouse in impeccable shape: sweeping, organising, and cleaning the floor after each production run
·Support your team members as needed in keeping production running smoothly
·Participate in weekly machine maintenance and report any issues encountered so your team can stay ahead of machinery malfunctions
·Obsessed with the details: you will leave no bean misplaced and no bag unlabelled
·Highly professional: you are serious about your work but don’t take yourself too seriously
·Reliable and consistent: your manager and teammates can always depend on you to be punctual, dedicated and bring your A-game
·Delightful to work with, you have a sense of humour and infectious ‘can-do’ attitude
·Be fast and efficient, always thinking a step ahead
Also have a clean driving licence for coffee deliveries as and when needed.
·A deep love and respect for delicious coffee and exceptional guest experiences and a keen eye for the small details that make the difference.
·Experience working in fast paced environment (ideally in production) and enjoy a busy environment with time pressure
·The ability to lift up to 15 kilos of weight comfortably
·The ability to stand, walk, sit for long periods of time (at least 8 hours per day and 5 days per week).
·The ability to climb ladders, stairs, ramps and uneven floor and/or surfaces as needed
·The ability to have close visual acuity to perform visual checking, counting, spotting small defects, determine accuracy of numbers and package
